Applications open for 293 Constable positions, 10th pass may apply

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) today launched a call for applications for the recruitment of Constable and Group C Police Chief positions. Interested and eligible candidates should apply for the vacancies through the website official The registration process will end on November 30 and must be done online.

Thanks to this recruitment campaign, a total of 293 vacancies will be filled, including 126 for police chief positions (telecommunications) and 167 for gendarme positions (communication). No less than 10% of all positions are reserved for former military personnel.

ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification: For police chief positions, to be eligible, candidates must have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics with a total of 45% marks in each subject or must be 10th with a two-year certificate from the Institute of Industrial Training in Electronics, Electricity or Computer Science or 10th pass with a three-year degree in the relevant disciplines.

For Constable positions, applicants must have passed Class 10 or matriculation.

Age limit: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 as of November 30, 2022.

Step 1. Open the online portal

Step 2. Go to “New User Registration” and create an account.

Step 3. Log in with your credentials.

Step 4. Complete the application, upload your documents, pay the fees and submit.

Step 5. Finally, download and print the form.

ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2022: Application Fee

Male applicants who fall under UR, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay a mandatory fee of Rs 100. On the other hand, SC, ST, female and former military applicants are exempted from paying the fee.

ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2022: Selection Process

To be chosen, the candidates had to go through 3 phases. Phase 1 consists of the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the Physical Standard Test (PST). Those who complete Phase 1 will be allowed to take the written exam or Phase 2. The written exam will last two hours. Phase 3 will consist of a verification of documents and a medical examination.

ITBP Head Constable Recruitment 2022: Salary

Candidates selected for the position of Chief Constable will receive a salary of between Rs 25,500 and Rs 81,100 while those selected for Constable positions will receive between Rs 21,700 and Rs 69,100.
