RI GOP Activist, US DOL Top Staffer, Patrick Michael Mannix, of Narragansett, dies at 50

Patrick Michael Mannix, 50, of Narragansett, Rhode Island, and Hanover, Md., Died on June 27, 2021.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Patricia A. Mannix of Narragansett and the late Michael T. Mannix; brother of Matthew M. Mannix of Narragansett, Lieutenant Colonel Michael George Mannix of Linthicum, Maryland and Christopher T. Mannix of Narragansett; brother-in-law of Major Dawn L. Mannix and uncle of Meghan K. Mannix of Linthicum, Maryland. He was cherished by many loving relatives and friends.
Patrick grew up in the Bonnet Shores area of Narragansett. He is a graduate of Monsignor Clarke School, Narragansett High School and Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
Patrick was Chief of Staff in the Bureau of Disability Employment Policy of the United States Department of Labor from 2017 to 2021. He was particularly proud of his public service in this role.
Prior to this proud achievement, Patrick worked in a variety of industries and services, from financial services to public relations, including improving the lives and employment opportunities of Americans with disabilities.
Patrick touched the lives of everyone he knew and had a generous heart. Patrick possessed old-fashioned patriotism, loved his Irish heritage, was a proud Roman Catholic, loved the ocean, and made Christmas special every year.
A longtime parishioner of St. Thomas More, Patrick was also a dedicated member of the St. Philip Neri ward and school while living in Maryland.
His funeral will take place on Saturday July 3, 2021 at 8:15 a.m. Nardolillo Funeral Home and South County Crematorium-Chapel, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett with Christian burial mass at 10 am in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett.
Visiting hours Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
